Our latest audit by the Ohio State Auditor Yost’s office resulted in the District qualifying for the Auditor of State Award with Distinction, meaning that we exhibited exemplary record keeping and financial reporting.
As someone who previously worked in banking, I appreciate the meticulous nature of financial work. My CFO, Kay Ball, does a great job here at the Northwestern Water and Sewer District.
This award signifies that all records were filed timely, the audit does not contain any findings for recovery, material weaknesses, or questioned costs. Along with the financial information, this award also demonstrates a commitment to a high standard of ethics, strong internal controls and a strict adherence to public meeting and public record policies.
