The statements provide reasons for an organization’s existence, and should be a guiding force for all that the organization pursues.
Through the years since the Northwestern Water & Sewer District was formed in 1994, we have continually developed statements for our employees, board members and customers on what to expect.
I thought this blog would be a good way to share our most current statements for both the District itself and our Board of Trustees (BOT).
Our goal is to be the premier water and wastewater provider in Northwestern Ohio. We are committed to sound financial management, responsible environmental stewardship, responsive public service, superior customer service, and responsible economic growth. We strive to field a skilled, respectful, and cooperative workforce dedicated to the highest professional and ethical standards; we support them with appropriate training and technology.
We will set high expectations for ourselves to provide service.
The NWWSD BOT provides ongoing financial and strategic oversight and direction to advance the mission of NWWSD. In support of their responsibilities, the BOT will ensure that personnel, processes and an organizational structure are in place within both the BOT and senior management to carry out the goals of the organization. The BOT will foster appropriate communication and interaction with management, the community and various governmental entities to ensure that the mission of NWWSD is successful.
The board of trustees has goals for the organization and its long-term operations.
